Sujai (pronounced "Su-Hi") is completing her MA in Counseling with a concentration in trauma. She currently works with our adolescent and adult patients offering individual and family therapy. Sujai wants to become a clinical therapist because of her strong belief in the healing power of therapy when one is faced with the unfortunate circumstances surrounding depression, anxiety, and trauma. She is also motivated by her awareness of the need for a safe and supportive environment where people can work to process their emotions and life events. Sujai is a native speaker of both English and Spanish, she is under the supervision of Dr. Montesano and Matthew Mooers.

Education and Experience

Sujai completed her undergraduate degree (BA) from Northern Illinois University and then enrolled in her graduate degree (MA) program at Adler University in Chicago. Prior to working at Guada Psych Services, Sujai taught parenting skills and worked in-depth with families in need of mental health services. She also ran anger management groups where she taught people how to manage their frustration, especially in difficult situations. Sujai's ability to work in both English and Spanish combined with her professionalism and knowledge of mental health has proven very worthwhile to her patients.
