Education and Experience
Sandy earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology with a certificate in LGBTQ studies from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. She has previous training experiences in psychological testing and therapy, serving diverse populations in private practice settings. As a member of our student training team, Sandy is required to attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings in addition to educational training seminars and consultations-this is in addition to her school classes and responsibilities. Rigorous in nature, doctoral training programs prepare students for seeing the full range of patient presentations and concerns.

In addition to having experience in therapy and assessment, Sandy has run parenting groups focused on supporting the needs of children with behavioral concerns. Sandy is further interested in human sexuality wellness, including but not limited to how it relates to therapeutic practices. She has also undertaken extra studies on working with survivors of sexual trauma and how to reach positive treatment outcomes.
