Sam Boothe, Doctoral Student in Training, Assessment Practicum in Schaumburg

Sam is in one our doctoral students in training, he is currently focused on providing therapy to adolescents and adults. Sam got into the field of psychology because he finds the psychological sciences interesting. He also appreciates human beings and their unique ways of existing in the world and wanted to learn more. Sam is excited to further his knowledge on the brain sciences and is moving swiftly through his assessment externship with ease as he works to master the psychological assessment process-he is definitely a natural!

Education and Training

Sam attended Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Psychological Sciences. While at Purdue, Sam was a research assistant for a study focused on intimate partner violence. He also participated in a study on human factors related to performance. He is currently attending Adler University in Chicago, IL where he is pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology.  

Additional Areas 

Sam is passionate about social justice and has experience working in Chicago supporting school aged youth who presented with educational or behavioral needs. Sam believes in approaching people from a warm and empathic place that is open minded and considers the unique differences in everyone’s biological nature as well as backgrounds. He is a very welcomed addition to our team.
